The Dulay family struggled temporally and spiritually. With renewed faith, they returned to church and committed to living gospel principles. Despite limited resources, Brother Dulay worked as a tricycle driver, and Sister Dulay volunteered at the Employment Resource Center; they persevered. Back in 2000, they began building a self-reliance plan centered on education, livelihood, and other long-term goals. They enrolled in SR programs such as Starting and Growing My Business, Personal Finances, and EnglishConnect. They engaged in learning about real estate opportunities. Over time, their consistent efforts and reliance on the Lord brought blessings. All their children served missions and later married in the temple. Then in 2022, they were entrusted with managing a real estate project that brought more temporal blessings to their family, enabling them to pay off debts, build their own home, and acquire properties. They started an online real estate business in 2023, applying principles learned from WSR programs. Today, they remain committed to lifelong learning, service, and helping others become self-reliant.
